Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Tongs
  • Knife

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 6 slices bacon chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper freshly ground

Optional Garnish

  • 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese grated, for topping

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the pan.
  • Add butter to the skillet and let it melt into the bacon fat. Add halved Brussels sprouts, cut side down, and cook undisturbed for 5–6 minutes until golden brown.
  • Stir and continue cooking for another 5–7 minutes until sprouts are tender and caramelized. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in cooked bacon and toss to combine evenly.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with Parmesan if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra depth, drizzle with a touch of balsamic vinegar or add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat. This dish pairs beautifully with roasted meats or keto casseroles.
