Ingredients

Ham and Glaze

  • 1 fully cooked bone-in ham 8–10 pounds, spiral-cut preferred
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar-free honey substitute such as keto honey syrup
  • 2 tbsp brown erythritol sweetener
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a roasting pan with foil and place a roasting rack inside. Set ham cut-side down on the rack.
  • In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add sugar-free honey, brown erythritol, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper. Stir until smooth and simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Brush half of the glaze evenly over the ham, making sure it seeps into the cuts between slices if spiral-cut.
  • Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil, baste with more glaze, and continue baking uncovered for another 45–60 minutes, basting every 20 minutes, until heated through and caramelized.
  • For a glossy finish, broil for 2–3 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning. Remove from oven and rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve warm with any extra glaze drizzled over the slices.

Notes

This glaze delivers all the holiday sweetness of traditional honey ham with none of the sugar. Pair with roasted Brussels sprouts or cauliflower mash for a full keto Christmas feast.
